DBConvert Streams End User License Agreement (EULA)

Effective Date: 2026-07-13

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE USING THE SOFTWARE BEING PROVIDED TO YOU. USING THE SOFTWARE INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF EACH TERM AND CONDITION CONTAINED IN THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH WHAT THIS AGREEMENT SAYS, DO NOT INSTALL AND USE THE SOFTWARE.

1. Definitions

  • "Software" refers to DBConvert Streams, including all components, associated documentation, and materials
  • "Components" refers to the applications and services that make up DBConvert Streams:
    • Desktop Application (Windows, macOS, Linux)
    • Web User Interface
    • REST API
    • Streaming Engine (data processing services)
    • MCP Server (read-only Model Context Protocol interface for AI clients)
    • AI assistant integrations (AI Chat, Generate SQL)
  • "IDE" refers to the free database exploration features (Data Explorer, SQL console, ER diagrams, File explorer) included in the Software
  • "Streams" refers to the paid data migration and replication capabilities (Load, CDC)
  • "AI Features" refers to the MCP Server and AI assistant integrations, which allow an AI model to inspect the Licensee's workspace in read-only mode
  • "Licensor" refers to Slotix s.r.o.
  • "Licensee" refers to the individual or entity using the Software

2. License Grant

Subject to the terms of this Agreement and payment of applicable fees, Slotix s.r.o. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Deploy and use the Software on your own infrastructure according to your subscription status
  • Run multiple instances of Components as needed for your deployment
  • Deploy the Software in supported environments:
    • Linux (AMD64/ARM64)
    • Windows (AMD64)
    • MacOS (AMD64/ARM64)
    • Docker containers
    • On-premises or cloud infrastructure of your choice

3. Subscription and Usage

  • The IDE is always free and requires no account or subscription
  • Streams functionality requires an account and is subject to evaluation limits or an active subscription
  • Evaluation limits apply prior to subscription (Load 500 MB lifetime, CDC 48 hours active runtime). Evaluation is a one-time opportunity per account.
  • Paid subscription ($49/month or $399/year) provides unlimited Streams usage
  • API keys are personal and non-transferable
  • Multiple deployment options are available as specified in documentation

4. Technical Requirements

Licensee acknowledges the following requirements for external source databases:

  • When using CDC (Change Data Capture) mode, the source database must be:
    • MySQL 8.0 or higher with binary logging enabled on the source MySQL server, or
    • PostgreSQL 10 or higher with logical replication configured on the source PostgreSQL server
  • When using Load mode, there are no special configuration requirements
  • For both modes, proper database permissions must be configured to allow DBConvert Streams to:
    • Read from source databases
    • Write to target destinations (databases, files, or S3-compatible storage)
  • Adequate system resources for operation

5. Restrictions

Licensee agrees not to:

  • Sublicense, sell, lease, or transfer the Software
  • Make unauthorized copies of the Software
  • Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to discover source code
  • Remove or alter copyright notices or proprietary markers
  • Share or transfer API keys
  • Circumvent evaluation limits or subscription enforcement

6. Data Security and Privacy

Licensee acknowledges that:

  • Database credentials are stored exclusively on Licensee's own infrastructure
  • SSL/TLS encryption is available for database connections
  • Licensee is responsible for securing their API keys
  • The Software may collect basic telemetry data (usage metrics, environment information) to ensure service reliability and compliance with evaluation limits
  • Licensee must comply with applicable data protection regulations

7. AI Features

The Software includes optional AI Features. Licensee acknowledges that:

  • AI Features operate through a third-party AI model and account chosen, configured, and paid for by the Licensee. Licensor is not a party to Licensee's agreement with the AI provider and does not receive, transmit, store, or process Licensee's prompts, data samples, or AI outputs.
  • Data retrieved by Licensee's AI client through the AI Features (including schema definitions, sample rows, query results, and redacted log entries) is transmitted to Licensee's AI provider as part of the chat context, under that provider's terms. Ensuring that such transmission complies with applicable data protection regulations and Licensee's own obligations is the Licensee's responsibility.
  • AI-generated output (including SQL statements, analysis, and recommendations) is produced by a third-party model, may be inaccurate, and is provided for Licensee's review. Licensor does not control and does not warrant AI output. Licensee is solely responsible for reviewing AI output before acting on it.
  • AI Features are read-only by design: only SELECT-type statements are executed, and the AI cannot modify data, configuration, credentials, or stream state. This restriction does not limit Licensee's responsibility for actions Licensee performs based on AI output.

8. Term and Termination

This Agreement:

  • Begins upon first use of the Software or Service
  • Continues through the duration of active subscription
  • May be terminated by Licensor for breach of terms
  • Requires immediate cessation of Software use upon termination

9. Support and Updates

  • Technical support provided with active subscription
  • Software updates and maintenance included with active subscription
  • Documentation and resources available through official channels

10. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
