We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Contact information (name, email address, company name)
  • Account credentials
  • Stripe customer identifier (we do not collect or store your payment information directly—payment processing is handled securely by Stripe)
  • Usage data and preferences
  • Stream session volume data
  • Basic telemetry data (environment information, deployment type)

Data Processing and Storage

Our services process and store data with the following considerations:

  • We do not store any data that is transferred between databases, files, or object storage through our Service.
  • Database credentials are stored exclusively on your own infrastructure.
  • Processor Only: We operate as a data processor, facilitating the transfer without persistent storage.
  • Data processing modes include Change Data Capture (CDC), Load mode (bulk migration), and file/S3 operations.
  • Supported connectors include MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, local files (CSV, JSON, JSONL, Parquet), and S3-compatible object storage.
  • Evaluation limits apply before subscription (Load 500 MB lifetime, CDC 48 hours active runtime).
  • We maintain audit logs of API key usage for security.
  • We collect basic telemetry data (usage metrics, environment information) to ensure service reliability and compliance with evaluation limits.

AI Features

DBConvert Streams includes optional AI features (AI Chat, Generate SQL, and an MCP server for external AI clients). These run with your own AI provider account and model key:

  • We do not receive, transmit, or store your prompts, data samples, or AI outputs. Your AI client sends them directly to your chosen AI provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) under that provider's terms.
  • The MCP server runs on your own infrastructure, is read-only, and never initiates outbound connections on its own.
  • The AI activity log is stored locally on your infrastructure and records tool names and metadata — never queries, credentials, or data values.
  • Database credentials are never exposed to AI models: tool responses redact passwords, tokens, API keys, and connection strings.

How We Use Your Information

  • Providing and Maintaining the Service: We use your data to operate our platform, process transactions, and provide requested features.
  • Transactional or Service-Related Emails: We will use your email address to send essential communications regarding your account (e.g., account notifications, evaluation completion notices, security alerts). These are part of the Service and cannot be opted out of if you wish to continue using the Service.
  • Marketing or Promotional Emails: Where allowed by law or with your explicit consent (if required), we may use your email to send promotional content or updates about our products and services. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email or by contacting us directly.
  • Responding to Your Requests: We may use your information to respond to inquiries or provide customer support.
  • Improving Our Services: We analyze usage data to enhance and optimize features.
